Air Canada will inform 48 hours before departure if the bid is accepted. If the bid is successful then the bid amount can be paid and the upgrade will show on boarding pass. Passengers can also upgrade through eUpgrade Credits. If they are Air Canada Altitude member then they can earn eUpgrade Credits on choosing it as Select Privileges. Passengers can also earn eUpgrade Credits on crossing required Altitude eUpgrade Threshold. These eUpgrade Credits can be exchanged to get an upgrade on Air Canada, Air Canada Express, and Air Canada Rouge flights.

  1. Last minute upgrade

Passengers can also purchase last minute upgrades. Upgrade can be purchased 24-hour before departure if the passenger do Web Check-in and 12 hour before departure if check-in is done at a self-service check-in Kiosk. Passengers need to check in 45 minutes before departure for flights within Canada and 1 hour before departure for flights between Canada and the U.S. and for international flights departing from Canada.
